Good morning Delegates! Today is June 22nd, 2026. The weather today will be a high of 90 degrees and a low of 57 degrees with winds between four and 10 miles per hour and a UV index of 10, so don’t forget to apply sunscreen and stay hydrated! Here are some reminders and updates to keep in mind as we spend another amazing day here at CBGS:
Today we will have a few important meetings. Right after the flag raising will be your city meeting in your city’s designated hall to vote in the County Election/Senate & Assembly General Election. Later in the morning, at 10, will be your county meeting in which the election’s results will be revealed. Following the flag retirement this evening at 6:45 will be party meetings, Whigs will transit to the University Union and Federalists will be on the Dining commons lawn until 10:30.
Three meals will be served to you throughout the day. Breakfast will be held between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. The order will be Baker County at 7:00 a.m., Cenoz County at 7:15 a.m., Brambila County at 7:30, and lastly Haley County at 7:45. You may get Starbucks or visit the American River Store during this time. Lunch will be held between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. We will follow the same order as previous, with Baker County eating at 12:00 p.m., Cenoz County at 12:15 p.m., Brambila County at 12:30 p.m, and lastly Haley County at 12:45. Remember Delegates, when you are finished eating lunch, please return to your assigned common room areas. This is not recreational time, so please make sure you find your common room areas quickly. Finally, dinner will be served between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Following the same order, Baker County will eat at 5:00 p.m., Cenoz County at 5:15 p.m., Brambila County at 5:30 p.m., and Haley County at 5:45 p.m. You may visit Starbucks and the American River Store during this time. Please remember to eat well and stay hydrated Delegates!
Activities during recreational time will be Open Recreation, Mixed Doubles Tennis,
3 on 3 Boys Basketball, 3 on 3 Girls Basketball, Co-ed Billiards, Co-ed Table Tennis, and Co-ed Volleyball. During this time there will also be a meeting for the media team held in the Draper Study Lounge. You may also visit Klamath patio for the Boys and Girls State Forum as well as the Jenkins patio and study lounge for the Blue Star Forum and Senate. Also at Klamath is Public Speaking 101 and Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure part 3. Police Chiefs and Sheriffs should attend the Police Academy located at the Desmond Study Lounge.
There are a couple special events that will be happening today. During your morning city meetings you will be voting for your County positions, so make sure you remember to bring an electronic device to vote on! Additionally, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Delegates will be participating in their respective sessions based on their elected roles. All City Councils, Superior Courts, City State Fair Committees, Board of Supervisors, District Courts of Appeal, Boards of Equalization, Boards of Education, and County State Fair Committees will be meeting in your respective residence halls. Finally, there will be a general assembly from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in which Senate and Assembly members will be sworn in, Supreme Court and Superintendent of Public Instruction will be giving introductions and any speeches, and respective Whig and Federalist platform and campaign committees will be meeting with Whigs in the Desmond Rec Room and Federalists in the Jenkins Rec Room. Be sure you are ready to attend these events!
Lastly, there are some important things to remember, Delegates! The CBGS store will be open today between the times of 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m if you want to purchase any toiletries, hygiene products, or snacks! Lights out is at 10:45 p.m. tonight, so make sure you are in your building and in front of your room door when your counselor checks your floor.
