On the 22nd of June, 2025, the Whig party officially united for the first time in the 2025 Boys and Girls State session. A multitude of candidates rose from their individual cities in order to represent their citizens. Although their platforms differed in terms of ideologies, they all stood for one common intent: success for the Whigs. The Whig party, after a long process in electing their party leaders and party secretaries, now have a much more solid structure in their future endeavors.

The election gave way to the expressal of some very interesting viewpoints. For example, party leader candidate Jason Dennis stated in his speech: “We must get rid of the ‘us against them’ mentality so that votes go to the truly deserving party: us.” His speech was the first of many that promoted a compromise between both political parties. Dennis also shared the common goal held by all candidates that promotes success for the Whigs. Contrary to popular belief, the peacekeeping idea ended up aiding people in the election. Elected party leader Alexa Rodriguez primarily focused on the empowerment and superiority of the Whig party in her campaign. Her outspoken and confident nature paved her pathway towards the position of Whig party leader.

Unlike the diversity of ideologies among the party leader candidates, the race for Whig party secretary involved candidates focusing more on the pure upliftment of the Whig party. After a very intense and competitive election, elected Whig party secretary Daniel Raskin left victorious. Having been previously unsuccessful as a nominee for the position of party leader, Raskin was able to garner enough support to run again for party secretary. His platform involved strong support for purely the Whig party, with him stating that he “wants the Federalists to ‘feel it’ when the Whigs walk into the chamber.” His ideals resonated with many, with a large group supporting his candidacy throughout the event.
