June 22nd, at the 2025 California Boys & Girls State, an enticing environment was waiting for all the Federalists at Sacramento’s State University Union. With the crowd buzzing in excitement in anticipation of seeing who the leader of their political party was, tensions were high. With over 500 delegates attending the first meeting of the Federalist party for the 2025 session, history was truly made with all the wonderful candidates, and also the crowd’s vibrant energy. From delegates to staff members, cheers were raised in hopes of creating long-lasting memories for all.
While there were many phenomenal candidates running for positions in Party Chair and Party Secretary, two individuals truly stood out to the Federalist party. Joseph Warner, also known as, “Joe Mama,” had truly high energy and encouraged delegates standing up and applauding. Warner provided goals including unity in his candidacy, this did win over the crowd and also raised their nationalistic views on Federalism. On the other hand, Annika, being the only young woman running for Party Chair, provided a great time and inspiration for all the other women in the room. While both candidates truly had outstanding characteristics that would’ve made either of them great Party Chairs, Joseph Warner was successful in his campaign and is now the Party Chair of the Federalist party.
Moving from Warner’s win, came the election of Party Secretary. It’s safe to say that Madeline
Trull’s campaign was the most impactful resulting in her win. An example of this is her high energy that allowed the crowd to remain interested in her. Also, her overall experience was a leading factor in her success, proving to the Federalist party that with her experience, she can create an impact. Madeline’s candidacy truly demonstrates to any individual that with the right attitude and mindset that anything is possible.
